{"id":928,"date":"2025-09-24T11:31:35","date_gmt":"2025-09-24T11:31:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/enjazi.com\/uk-teachers-and-parents-what-is-the-impact-of-deepfakes-in-your-school\/"},"modified":"2025-09-24T11:31:35","modified_gmt":"2025-09-24T11:31:35","slug":"uk-teachers-and-parents-what-is-the-impact-of-deepfakes-in-your-school","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/enjazi.com\/en\/uk-teachers-and-parents-what-is-the-impact-of-deepfakes-in-your-school\/","title":{"rendered":"UK teachers and parents: what is the impact of deepfakes in your school?"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"dcr-1fnjjtg\" data-gu-name=\"standfirst\">\n<div class=\"dcr-15in7js\">\n<p>We\u2019d like to hear from schools and parents across the UK about how they are responding to AI generated deepfakes among pupils, and how it is impacting on children and school communities<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<aside class=\"dcr-1fnjjtg\" data-gu-name=\"meta\">\n<div class=\"dcr-14emo0l\">\n<div class=\"dcr-ich95x\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"dcr-14emo0l\">\n<div class=\"dcr-1v9sla6\">\n<div class=\"dcr-5oiine\">\n<div class=\"dcr-1kpcv08\">\n<div>\n<address aria-label=\"Contributor info\" data-component=\"meta-byline\" data-link-name=\"byline\" data-gu-name=\"byline\">\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\">There have been a growing number of\u00a0reports of AI generated deepfake\u00a0images or videos being used maliciously against pupils and teachers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\">One of the first cases<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/world\/article\/2024\/jul\/09\/spain-sentences-15-school-children-over-ai-generated-naked-images\" data-link-name=\"in body link\">\u00a0<\/a>to hit the headlines was in Spain where 15 schoolchildren were sentenced to a year\u2019s probation last year for creating and spreading AI generated images of their female peers.<\/p>\n<div id=\"sign-in-gate\"><\/div>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\">The case prompted a debate on the\u00a0harmful and abusive uses of deepfake technology, but since then it has become clear that the problem has become more widespread and is affecting young people across the globe.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\">The children\u2019s commissioner for England,\u00a0Dame Rachel de Souza, recently called for AI \u201cnudification\u201d apps that create deepfake sexual images of children to be banned.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\">We would like to hear from teachers, school leaders and parents about how they are responding to deepfakes in schools. How have you talked to children? What policies have been put in place?
